Когда мой муж говорит "моя Принцесса", я улыбаюсь и целую его.

Но!

Когда он говорит "моя Королева", я слышу в его тоне  немного сентиментального патриотизма, гордости, преданности.

В его нидерландской семье чувство гордости за свою страну, за королевскую семью и, особенно, за королеву, а теперь уже будущую королеву-мать, абсолютно искренне и глубоко.

Это очень трогательно. Немного завидую ему - у меня нет такой родины, правительства, которыми я могла бы так гордиться, как это делают члены его семьи.

Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands has announced her abdication. Her stepping down clears the way for her eldest son, Crown Prince Willem-Alexander, to become the nation's first king in more than a century.

The queen will abdicate on April 30 after 33 years as head of state. Beatrix announced her abdication in a nationally televised speech, signaling an end to the reign of one o Europe's longest-serving monarchs.

The queen, who turns 75 on Thursday, said that her birthday and the 200-year anniversary of the monarchy in 2013 were "the reason for me to step down."

Beatrix's mother, Juliana, abdicated in 1980, allowing her daughter to assume the throne at age 42. The queen's stepping down will end more than 100 years of female reign on the Dutch throne. Willem-Alexander, 45, will be the first Dutch king since Willem III, who led until his death in 1890.

Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, the oldest reigning Dutch monarch, announced her abdication on Monday evening in a sudden move three days before her 75th birthday.

After 33 years on the throne following her mother's abdication in 1980, Beatrix said she would relinquish the crown at the end of April, leaving the monarchy to Crown-Prince Willem-Alexander, the oldest of her three sons.

The queen went on national television and radio on Monday evening to announce the departure, having recorded the broadcast earlier in the day. The prime minister, Mark Rutte, delivered a statement on television shortly afterwards, with both stressing that the crown prince had been intensively prepared for the role of monarch.

"The queen was there for us in good times, but also in bad times. Her knowledge and compassion made her an icon of the Netherlands," Rutte said in his statement.

The popular 74-year-old has kept a relatively low profile, aspiring to an image of homely normality by, for example, riding her bike in The Hague. She is also said to be a member of the Bilderberg Group and is ranked among Europeas wealthiest royals.

But behind the scenes, Beatrix took an intense interest in national politics. Although a constitutional monarch, the queen is officially a member of the Dutch cabinet and until last year she had the right of initiative in proposing who should try to form a government in the complex Dutch coalition system.

"Almost 75, [after] 33 years of rule, she's quitting when she's at the top of the world," said a diplomat.

Widowed a decade ago on the death of Prince Claus, a German aristocrat who served as a German diplomat, Beatrix has been visited by intense family misfortune over the past year. Her second son, Friso, was badly injured in a skiing accident in Austria last February and has been in a coma in a London clinic ever since. His wife, Princess Mabel, a commoner prominent in NGO circles in the 1990s in the Balkans, lives in London with their two daughters.

The abdication secures the Dutch throne for Crown-Prince Willem-Alexander at the age of 45. His wife, Princess Maxima, is Argentinian and her family have been involved in court controversies over the past 18 months stemming from her father's role as a civilian minister for agriculture in the Argentinian junta between 1976 and 1981.

Relatives of one of the thousands of "disappeared" killed under the junta sought to mount a criminal case in the Dutch courts 18 months ago. Last March the Dutch prosecutor's office ruled there were no grounds for charging the father, Jorge Zorreguieta.

The ascent to the throne of Willem-Alexander means the Netherlands will have its first king in more than a century. Abdication is also in the tradition of the Dutch monarchy. Beatrix's mother, Queen Juliana abdicated in 1980, her mother, Queen Wilhelmina, in 1948.

Очень интересно, что её покойный муж был не королём, а принцем. А теперь её невестка, жена будущего короля не будет принцессой, а станет королевой. Беатрикс - самая современная королева и хороший, умный, прогрессивный человек. Да, уходит эпоха.

Шакалам, такого уровня, как лимонов всегда нужно кого-нибудь "свалить", тогда они чуствуют то моральное удовлетворение, которое уже не могут получить физическим путём.

Почему же не знаем, знаем. Про то, что произошло с Долматовым. Это трагедия.
Этих трагедий связанных с внезапной смертью российских граждан в своём и "датских королевствах" было уже много.
И всё это пахнет родными казематами.

Не хочется даже и писать слово "королева" рядом с этими строками.
Но если её не свалило нечастье в семье, то лающие шавки, которые интересны только самим себе, но не такой гранд леди, не могут и подавно. На них давно уже никто серьёзно и внимания-то не обращает в Европе.
Но разьве они, те, которые кажутся самим себе самыми великими на планете (вот, теперь и королеву свалили) объяснишь?
Пусть они и дальше барахтаются в своём дерьме.
Главное, чтобы не воняли.

Про Долматова, понятно, знали. чего ни Вы, ни я, ни Ее величество не подозревали, так это связь между двумя событиями.

Лимонов, увы, не шакал. Он был талантливым писателем. Его политическая "деятельность" за версту пахнет бурлеском, гиньолем, провокацией. Ну делал бы перфоманс из своей жизни, но он и другие, молодые жизни использует, как расходуемый материал.

Володя, должна вам честно признаться, что я, хоть и не ханжа, но Лимонов у меня всегда вызывал ТОЛЬКО чувство брезгливости. Почитав его талантливые произведения, мне всегда хотелось помыться, поэтому талант меня уже не восхищал. Я вам лучше скажу, что такое врождённая интеллигентность: по-моему мы уже пили на брудершафт, а теперь опять перешли на "вы".)))

Согласен с тобой. Как человек Л., видимо, негодяй. Прочитав "Историю его слуги", я восхитился откровенностью, но никаких дел с этим человеком иметь бы не хотел. он не первый и не последний, оставивший след в культуре и бывший неприятным, плохим человеком.

Королева прекрасна. И будущая (не принцесса, а королева! - это впервые в истории) мне очень нравится.
Они войдут в историю, а вся эта шушера превратится в слой земли под ногами, даже не исторический и не культурный ИМХО.
Не люблю грязь в любом её проявлении.
Пардон за ошибки и опечатки, я хоть и официально нахожусь в статусе "больной", но даже в постели невозможно спокойно полежать и повалять дурака, всё врема ОТВЛЕКАЮТ!)))
Причём на разных языках, хде ж это видано, а?
